It sounds like the 300 lbs. in your truck isn't doing you any good. There is no high humidity to worry about this time of year down here, so that argument is out. I'd say get rid of the 300 lbs. temporarily and work on your launches.

how much gas was in your tank? what kind of wheel setup?..
spare in the trunk?
15.1 is a decent time with 300lbs of extra weight.. so ur car is probably 4000lbs+ at the time of the run.. depending on ur body weight.
Pappy: how do you work on the launch if the car is an auto??...

Reasons for this
1. +300 pounds
2. Only a month old, the engine is not broken in yet
3. Gas light on is not a good thing, engine might have been starving at times (1/3 tank is best in my opinion)
4. 85 degrees is way high for our cars, they do get affected by anything higher than 55 big time. At least my car does.

stock tires may hurt u on a hot track...i've had that problem up here during summer of '01 at E-Town...stock tires r great when the track is cold since there's a lot of surface area the tire's got
make sure yer actuator is working
headers may b leaking
in a case or 2, i've heard headers have actually hurt times even if they're installed properly

still a Masshole
I went on a hot day (85 and humid) and I was running 93 traps. I ran an average of 15.3 but I am and was bone stock when I ran. It sounds like something might be wrong with the car.

First of all 300 lbs. of stereo equipment is quite excessive. If ur absolutely sure its around 300 lbs. than your times are about right remember your running just about stock times with 300 lbs extra. So look at it this way u can run with a stock CL-S but having ur bass thumping like a mofo Dude get that shit at of there and put some good times up or sell those headers to me so I can put them to better use.

learn how to gate shift! learn how to launch with break torqueing, and lastly get ride of your extra weight(even the spare tire). YOu should run mid 14's! If I got a 15.3 in a bone stock TLP, then you are just having the above listed issues! good luck!
