Went to the track today...

So I went to capitol raceway today and I just moved my nitrous from a 50hp shot to a 75hp shot and I have comptech headers and aem col air and a greddy evo2 exhaust.... well my first run I ran a 13.57 @ 106.4mph second run was a 13.59 @105.9 and my last run i spun wayyy to much and went 14.1 @106.2 oh well i guess thats not that bad... i just can't get off the line the car like i want my best 60 ft was a 2.19 i want a 2.0 I guess with g-force kdw tires thats not going to happen... My question for everyone is what kinda unorthodox pulley should I get and also how about the thermo block spacer is it worth it? and last question do they make a chip for the 6 speed? any info helps thanks!!

I figured you had to be one the forums. I saw you run yesterday. I have been itching to get my car down there but just didn't have time to get it ready to bring it down. I still have a few issues I need to take care of first before I bring it down. I am hoping to make it down friday. But the car looks good with the cf hood & trunk

What's up mitch. What nitrous kit are u running? Is it when that comes on at full throttle with an arming switch? If so, are you spraying off the line? I had an issue when I was running off the line with nitrous and ended up spraying starting in 2nd oppsed to 1st to relieve the tractions issues I had.

1. you obviously want the set made by UR with all three pulleys(Alt/Crk/PwrStg).
2. this mod does add near 10whp according to some dynos. it wouldn't hurt to add it.
3. the only chip made for us is the Unichip. most everyone would agree it's not worth the price and haggle to custom tune to add the hp that it does.
i like those #'s. like htown said, let's see some w/o the N2O.

yea thanks a lot guys...yea without the nitrous I run a 14.1 with the 50 shot I ran a 13.71 @ 105.7... I run the nitrous express kit. The problem is off the line with the car, I do spray it in first gear right after i hook up, so i think I am spraying in first at like 4,500 rpms. If I was running a 13.71 with the 50 shot and then I switched it to a 75 shot and ran a 13.57 should'nt i be running a little quicker then just 2 tenths with 25 hp more off the bottle? Anyone with any info on how to make the car faster I would appreciate it. Also how about the ultra light flywheel, any good? thanks for all hte info guys!

Don't know if that flywheel/clutch combo from comptech is worth $1100 price. The pullies however should make a difference.

go with the 3.5 conversion it costs a good amount and it will burn more gas. It will definitely give you more low end torque.

What kind of wheels and tires? Sizes?
You could def inprove with a 245/40/18 tire on an 18" x 8" Lightweight Devotion-1pF wheel, only weighs 16.5 lbs, and with the added tire traction of the 245, you would def feel a difference.

Ron for the drag strip 18's are way too much. A pair of 16's with 245/50 Nitto dr's would help a TON with traction, altho 2.1 60's is already REALLY good for a 6 speed.

106mph is good for 13.3's if you hook up an get 2.0's, and shift the shizzle out of it.

I dunno, after refilling a couple dozen times you could have had a turbo setup that makes more power, all the time.

Yeah... I'd probably leave the bottle undone unless I was at the track or out looking for trouble.

I believe just the kit, or at least he has said it. He seems to be serious. Hit him up via pm. If I see him on aim, I'll ask him for you.

yep, me too. having all that power ALL the time would be too tempting for me, and if I had to do all this stuff to get the power I'dprobably just no bother and save gas .

We should have a free giveaway every year on this forum. One lucky winner gets a turbo kit or Reinforced transmission for the automatic guys. It would be just as exciting as winning the lottery.

That would be extremely hard to do considering no one makes a turbo kit and no one makes a reinforced transmission either.

You can get all the parts you need for setting up a turbo. You would have to buy all the parts peice by peice from various companies. It can be done. Reinforced transmissions made by Dr. Evil were pretty good from what I've heard. The turbo kit wouldn't have a fancy brand name like Greedy but it can be done.

our cars are great its not the options i think i believe if the transmissions were more bullet proff like say smth from the j2ze supra toyota, a lot of people will be modding their cars to the max. i know if my trans could hold a lot more abuse i wuld be tempted to do more, its just not practicall to almost change everything on a car to make it faster than fast nt unless u got that mula $$$.
Thats why u see guys buy a already strong car and then make it faster, otherwise i would just buy a cheaper car say a wrecked cl type s engine ,custom turbo it , and get a rwd tested modified compatible trans on it and woooh,
yes easier said ,,,but
