60 ft: 2.369
330 ft : 6.510
1/8 et: 9.860
1/8 mph: 73.27
1000' et: 12.768
1/4 et: 15.224

not too shabby for a first timer...ill bet you're getting alot of wheel spin...forget about the lights..."oh wait r/t 1.224 you got that down pat" j/k
forget about the lights and try leaving like you would on the street as fast as you could with out wheel spin...so instead of peg legging it feed it throttle

I didnt get that much spin, my 60 ft's were awesome, my r/t sucked but that dont count. If i go when its cooler outside and get some more miles i'll hit high 14's for sure.

BTW, i was gateshifting w/ vsa off. I didnt take out the spare or lower the psi of the tires.

darrinb

that is a good run because i ran a 15.2xx a couple months ago bone stock.

its amazing how postive and cheerfull this thread has become...

what makes me is that not one person on the board has slammed or flammed you for the run

no offense its just because i remember posting my time when i ran a 15.2xx and most of my replies were:

is that it?

you should of run a 14.9 stock

should have done better

blah blah blah

Not bad man...

LOL with comptech headers and AEM CAI

(of course it was 85-90 degrees outside and 95% humidity)

I could only run a 15.1. Although I assume this will improve with better weather. heh

Nice runs...

R/T: 1.304
60 ft: 2.500
330 ft : 6.650
1/8 et: 9.971
1/8 mph: 74.24
1000' et: 12.833
1/4 et: 15.249
1/4 mph: 91.79

I have the CAI and the UR pulleys installed. I'm kinda disappointed, but that was my first time at the track too. Tracktion sucked, the engine had a 1.5 hour of continious driving and the weather was freaking hot.

It was fun

Don't worry about that. Just don't tell the dealer.

Breaking a car in is bull in my opinion.

Never done it, never will. And I've never blown an engine yet.

Just do the maintenance religeously.

ouch... that's all my car can do? shoot I'm dissappointed... if I wanted 15s I could've bought a prelude... my friend's prelude with i/e/pulleys runs a 15.3... I was hoping to see a time more like mid 14s or low 14s for an '03 6speed... it is a 6 speed isnt' it? well either way I see lots of 5ATs running low 14 sec. times... I hope this time was just a fluke b/c if that's all it can do I'mma be dissappointed when running against people...

At same weight as stock, but larger diameter, the rotational inertia will slow you down initially. EricL can give you a whole thesis regarding this

darrinb,goby202 ur tints will come out great. i have a silver cl-s and my back window is 20 and my sides are 35. it looks real good. u cant even notice that they are tinted diffently. it will look darker than 35 but lighter then 20 all the way around. you shouldnt get bothered by the popo.
oh yea, make sure they tint the back window right, i had a problem with mine had to redo it twice because of those dam dots on the top of our rear windows, idiot tint guys didnt know how to tint windows with those dots properly.

I ran a 15.2 the other day as well and the weather was hot also. it was also my first time so you are in good company. When the weather gets cooler and you get better I'm sure you'll be in the 14.8-15.0. I didn't take anything out and I didn't adjust my tire pressure. Good run!

Civic8952, I believe he has a 5AT (he mentions gate shifting).

Are you going this Sat for Import Wars at NED?

I am try to be there...

On April 6, 2002. My first run was 14.9s and I dropped to 14.6s on the same morning. The weather very helpful. low 40s and clear skies.

The forecast for this Saturday is 60-low 80 and Humidity is from 35% up to 75%.... It should be a nice day...

I got an auto w/ only 450 miles on it and i'm bone stock. I already said it was over 85 degrees outside and i didnt prep the car for the track. So i think my 15.2 was great, btw no offence to samer007 and bbsacuraracing but neither of them were able to top my 60ft or 1/4 et and they have mods.

So if i work on my launch a litte bit, break in the car more, run when its colder and add a CAI i dont see why i cant hit mid 14's.

15.2 is not bad! at all.

Last Saturday... I run 15.07 down to 14.94 and I have a CAI and Full UR Pulleys. But, I was really conistent in 5 trial runs and 1 Win! The event was canceled cause of the rain. The weather was 66 and 100% humidity!

CL-S is very sensitive to the weather

Wait for a full thread about the NE Import wars.
