Went to the Track @ Union Grove.. where were you fools???

So I end up getting there around 6pm .. and, of course, no CL-S or Accords show up .. I left at 7:30pm .. so unless someone showed up later........

Anyways... there were very few cars there, and I ran a best of 14.89 @ 94.2 mph .. that's WITH my mods... (headers/intake)

Pretty disappointed, but the first time I ran 15.35 @ 89.0 mph

So technically, I have improved .. but I'd rather be in the 14.2's like Superman .. er... I mean Darrinb...

i'd post timeslips.. but the rest were all 15.0's .. pretty depressing ..

btw... traction sucked... pulled 2.44's consistently ... tire pressure was approx. 20psi... i eyeballed it cuz i didn't have a guage . so i lowered the pressure till there was a nice bulge...

I ran over 10 times.. so i tried many different techniques...

was that on stock tires?
when you installed your headers was there a big difference or little?

I should re-phrase my first post .. my first time at the track a couple years ago, i ran the 15.3 @ 89 mph

Weather was 67 degrees w/ 60% humidity. STOCK tires .. some wheel hop w/ higher torque stalls over 2000rpms

When i installed the headers, there seemingly was a big difference, but now I'm questioning that difference...

Could my actuator be busted, or would i be running much slower times?

I'm starting to think I have a slow TL-S ...

dont worry, every one tries but not all can be like me

i'd check ur acutator, though i doubt its broken.

how were u launching?? try to get your 60's to low 2.3's or possibly 2.2's for better times
lemme know if u need n e advice,,,

the headers are workin trust me.. when u first get em they seem to add sooo much power but later on u just get used to the extra power and dont notice it... i know as time goes on u get used to ur car and it seems slower than it used to be, i remember pulling out of the shop after the header install i felt i could line up w/ a //m5...lol

I wanted to be there with ya, but 14 tanks of petrol there and back was a bit too much.

That's pretty depressing; if I had a highend intake and headers (a la Comptech) and only ran a 14.89, I'd be under the bleachers crying my eyes out!

Just curious, what's the quickest time you ran in your Max.

my CL-S ran 14.3@99 at union grove with nothing but headers......sounds like the TL-S is a bit of a dog. TL-S do come with narrower tires than a CL-S, im sure that didnt help

Holy humidity batman. Wait until it's not so humid out. And lower temps.

My car would only run 14.9's 15.0's all day in crappy weather.

Welcome to the world of high compression small displacement engines.

so you think it's just the humidity ..?

Btw. i tried all sorts of tire pressures.. i had 'em at 40psi when i got there .. four runs later, dropped it down to 30-ish .. then 20's... nothing worked..

Darrin .. your advice is crap for launching .. i tried it all, no offense. I couldn't shave off .4 seconds w/ a better launching technique ..

I'm just hoping I get faster with lower humidity .. i'll have to go late in the fall....

Nope,

not married, my dad and I interchange cars .. we're both into performance sedans .. when i looked into modding both the Max or the TL-S .. there were more gains to be had by all the parts available for the TL-S.. so i am driving that around.
