went for a drive last night..sooo much fun!!

where i live in VT, cops and troopers are CRAAZZZYY with the tickets (ive been ticketed for 67 in a 65...yeah..tell me about it) so speeding on the highways is just outa the question. there are also ZERO tracks in my area, the closest is a 1/4 mile in montreal, canada. not to mention that i have a lot of points on my license and anymore would result in another suspension...

..soo anyway i was home detailing cars n shit all day yesterday and 830 rolled around and i wanted to get out in my car for a bit. i havent had a chance to really take my CL-S for a "drive" since i bought it..so i went to the store and on the way back to my house i remembered about a set of backroads near my house...

so the first mile was nasty pavement but after that it was 35mph speed limits on windy paved country roads...i kept it at about 60-70 except when encountering cars..it was awesome!! i only encounted a couple cars coming the opposite way and zero in my lane so i had open road for about 10-15 miles..i was really impressed with the suspension and handling of my car, the understeer was really minimal considering its a FWD car.

when i turned around to head back out to the main roads a 3series passed by as i was waiting to pull back out..i went REAL slow for a few mins to leave myself some open road to play with cuz passing wouldnt be safe on the roads i was on. i caught up the bmw in like 30 seconds and i could tell that he knew i was driving for fun and he turned off and waved me past so i could keep going..it was so much fun to just be able to let the car free and downshift into those turns and floor it out at high RPMS..gotta love the 6 speed..

sorry guys if u see this as a useless thread, but i had to rant to someone about how much i love my car!!!

haha u have NOO idea. i used to live in the city (which in vt, is like 80,000 people lol) where everything to do and all my boys are. but i just moved like 20 minutes away on the highway and theres nada out here. so i decided to take the CL-S out for a leisure spin.

oh and i pulled a couple of 0-60 runs on an empty road..couldnt be happier, i just made sure i dropped with the clutch with the RPMs just barely above idle and i kept traction. ive got CT headers n ice box, but i bought it that way so i dunno how big the difference would be to a stock CL-S

They are a big difference. I recently parted my CL-s, so I know what I'm missing. Enjoy the 6-speed. Any other mods planned?

Sweet. I do the same thing after I drive another vehicle. Especially my mother's CR-V EX. That thing is slow as balls.
