I Almost Jumped Ship Today...
So today, I drove down to Col. Springs to check out the s/c'ed Anti CL All Mine was interested in and while I was down there, I also decided to wet my whistle and took a look at this for myself... http://www.pikespeakacura.com/Preown...oryId=12576244
Well, nice car for sure. Drove great, was a ton of fun, and it was clean, paint, int., everything. However... They wanted $24,595 for it. Well, if you've never been car shopping with me, FYI: I drive a hard bargin. Needless to say, I didn't buy the car because we were so far away from the asking price that it just wasn't happening.
Here's the kicker... My CL... Yes, I was planning to trade it for the S2K if the deal worked out. As soon as I got out of the CL, the sales guy said... "hey man, we want your CL!" I said... Money talks!
Well, after driving the S2K, we started working the deal because I liked the car a lot. They were going to give me $11K for my CL. I laughed! I told them no way. Then I told them what I wanted... Yep, after that, I was offered $14K for the CL! Anyway, since we didn't get to a close price on the S2K, I'm still here with you guys. :gheyhug:
Although I hate to say it, I still might go back. I loved driving that car. One thing is for sure, that Eric at Pikes Peak Acura is one hell of a guy and I'd buy a car from him any time. He's actually the same guy I beat up over the price of my ex's '03 6spd CL. Go figure! Again, great guy!
PS: Moral of the story: Your trade value in isn't quite as bad as it seems, learn to haggle better!

My car has about 66K on it. Not sure what the KBB on it is but NADA shows it as Wholesale: $12,5xx. and Av. Retail is $14,9xx for my area.
Personally, I think we had a hard time setting the price of the S2K because they were trying to burry the cost of my car into the profit on their car.
Thanks, htown. I appreciate that.

I can only think of one car nicer/cleaner but I haven't seen it in person, one word... NiteQwill's.
It was a hot CL, no doubt.

Whoever traded the s2k in might not have haggled that well, so the dealer was able to throw you 3K more for your car... since they've got room on the s2k...
It's amazing how much money the dealers make on used cars... there's no money on new cars (well, not that much unless people are paying msrp), so all the dealers are making a killing on service and used cars...
The KBB trade in value for my 6spd w/ 49K miles is about $16K in excellent condition... At that price, I can't afford not to keep it (unless I want to get back into payments or make a big downpayment). I could probably get a dealer to give me 18K for it if I wanted to buy something at MSRP
I've been looking at some other Acura/Honda products, but they really don't offer that much more then my 6spd, and I'd have to spend a buttload of money to get into... (used 3G TL, etc...).

"S" badges on it in place of the usual "H". They weren't bad but they said they'd put the stock one back on for me. Oh, and it had an after market radio in it. Not a big fan of that.
