Went to Atco Raceway lastnight ...

well went to atco raceway lastnight to see what she runs. Last friday it was 60 deg and like 90% humidity, and my best time was a 14.59. I was really disappointed so I went back lastnight ..

temp was 45 deg, 53% humidity. Spare out, jack and tools, vsa off, left it in D3, and popped out the 03 plastic thing so the icebox could get more air (roadlamp replacements).

(I'm on the right) read sig for mods.

What has everyone else got with similiar mods and automatic?

And do you think 13.9 is possible once the Unichip is in on a nice cold night?

Amazing times, CLS loves the cold air! Your 60 ft time of 2.1s is impressive!

NJ is great for racing because it is below sea level.

was there a requirement to wear a helmet in Atco? I heard there was, but never confirmed either way.

good times

Yea, those are pretty good times.

I live middle-to north Jersey, like 6 miles away from Newark, in Livingston. You planning on going to Englishtown?

Uh oh. I don't think we'll be lining up against each other on the 27th.

Awesome run.

Yes, Atco requires you to wear a helmet.

I ran with the 18's and 235\40 pirelli pzero rossos. that setup is 6lbs lighter per corner than the stock wheel\tire setup. I dropped the front down to 26lbs and jacked the back up to 44lbs. seemed to work good, I stuck like glue out of the hole .. 2.17 60ft.

Chap I'd love to get a run against you .. I'm curious to see what you do with the pulleys\bpipe. I REALLY hope that Unichip can put me at a 13.9.

14.1 is very respectable. You'll beat most stock Mustang GTs!

maybe autos. Sticks can run low 14s pretty regularly (one guy ran a 14 flat while I was at the strip last time).

I've never jacked up my rear tire pressure, only lowered the front to around 22-23.

Does jacking up the rear make a big difference. I'd like to break into the 2.1 club but for now I'm stuck at 2.211

I dont know how much of a difference it made, but it certainly makes sense to do it. The more air the less rubber on the ground, less drag, wheel spins with less effort. Definately can't hurt to try

I hope you have different tires on your stock wheels Randy, cause if you have stock rubber on them you'll never stick. have you ever weighed one of your 19s?

Don't worry.. you can still beat him... it goes by your dial-in time.. it's not straight up racing (if they do it like last year anyway).

BTW, nice times!! Nice reaction times too... mine are usually either a tick over or a tick under one second....hehe.
