Well another sellout!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After much debate and many test drives, I purchased a 2004 G35C 6 speed, premium pack, aero pack and Sirius. Brilliant Silver with black interior. Absolutely love this car. It came down to this and the TL. Started out at the Infiniti dealer, then went to the Acura lot. I test drove the car and liked it alot but in the end it reminded me alot of my CL ( which I kept by the way). The sales gut at Infiniti told me no test drives on the 6 spd coupes and no discounts. So after I drove the TL i called the Infiniti store and talked to the GM, he still said no test drives but took $1500 off MSRP Anyway if i knew how to post pics i would but I dont so I wont Just love this car After they cleaned the car the pulled it out front beside my CL, and looking at the 2 side by side, I couldnt believe how far out of the segment these two cars are. I felt bad and really wish Acura would step up with a comporable coupe

It is amazing how Nissan has revived the Japanese affordable sports coupe (with somewhat the RX-8) with the 350Z and G35c. Proving not eveyone wants a SUV.

One question? I noticed a little squeal of the brakes on the way home, is this normal?

The brakes squeal like a pig initially. In fact, mine are squealing a bit now, with 5700 miles on them.

Bed your brakes properly. There's a good thread on freshalloy.com that discusses it.

All performance brakes squeal a bit... I'll take it considering the way the car stops.

Brake squeal with the Brembos is normal at first. It goes away and then comes back and goes away again. No big deal. Your biggest challenge is no WOT for 750 miles.

Welcome to the club.

Congrats on the new car, I hope you love it as much as you love your rattle monster.

I drove a G35 sedan before the CL, and I didn't feel comfortable in it, but I guess now it would be a different story on the 6speed.

My Acura dealer does test drives on the 6 speed, for the CL(when they sold them) and the TL. I think this is a great thing to do as it helps make the customers happy.

Arent the rattles a feature and yes Acura had no problems letting me drive a 6 speed TL (it was a demo). The funny thing was Id rove the TL 6 demo and it already had a rattle

I can't understand why you would have both the CL and G Coupe? It would seem better to have a beater. Or at least one car with 4 doors. Enlighten me O' rich one!

Not rich My CL-S has 52k miles on it and is worth far more to me than what i could possibly get in trade. Plus I live in Ohio so we do get snow. I figure Ill drive the CL on rain/snow days and let the mileage catch up to the year

Can't believe they wont let you test drive a 3 year old model. That is crazy. No way would i buy a car without driving it.

Nice car though.

I think he is trying to say for a car that has been sold for a couple years, it is pretty arrogant to not offer test drives.

But I wouldn't want all those scratches on the cheap dash either.

If people would stop buying cars without a test drive dealers would stop that crap. There is no way I would ever buy a car from a dealer that won't let me test drive it. If they are afraid of putting miles on the cars they should have one demo car that everyone test drives.

I think the reason they do that is cuz so many kids have come back without the car in one piece.

I imagine that the CL is the beater now :P

BTW - I wish I could get by with a 2dr coupe, I'd trade my TLS in on a G35C . . .

I wrecked my car last weekend and the first cat that I thought to get was the G35C. I did drive a few cars on Monday. These cars consisted of a S2000, WRX and a G35 sedan w/ 6speed. I really liked all of the cars I drove but the G35C is still the bench mark.

The big problem w/ the G35C is finding one. The dealership here is ABQ doesn't have any for 2-3 months(6 speeds). So, I had to call all of the dealerships in El Paso and Phoenix. I finally found one in Phoenix and the Dealer is willing to knock $1500 off and ship it here for free As soon as I get word that the CL is totaled the deal is done. I just hope that I hear from the insurance before Mon. Which is how long they're holding the car for me.
