Well after 4 years I finally did some mods...

Ive had the car for 4 years this month, and the only thing I ever got around to doing was an intake. Well Im so used to modding my cars from the start, this is the first ive financed so It didnt work that way for me. Finally 4 years later Ive spent some cash on this thing and im happy lol. In the last week Ive spent about 600 on things. KYB GR2 shocks with lowering springs supposedly 1.5 all around, 6000k hid bulbs, all interior light LEDs and taillight LEDs and a BMW m3 deck spoiler. Im happy ive begun my road down the modifying part because ive been itching after being on this site for about 3 years. So heres the pics of my 01 Sundance gold CLS.

drop looks good, a little uneven but they may be settling still. What springs did you end up lowering on?

This site will definitely force the mod bug on you, keep up the good work

I would assume custom, same as mine.

You can just purchase the mesh material and DIY.

Drop = more intense love for your ride lol.... Its only gonna get worse from there. Yeah I was wondering why they are sitting lower in the front with supposedly an even 1.5 all the way around. I like the front to be slightly lower than the front I can stand the backs being lower than the front like some coilovers do. All I want for wheens is 04 TL wheels and exhaust and ill be happy for a while. Thanks for all the comments yall. The grill is some random material i found, and the springs are Vogtland german spring on KYB GR2 struts. Id actually like to lift the front up slightly i wasnt wanting it to drop that much thats why I purchased this combo. Oh well

LOL

Or for a less intense approach a few hundred pounds of stereo equipment might help

Actually no its parked outside, id park it in the garage but the roomate parks his NSX in it I have 117k on her now, bought it 4 years ago with 70314. Its a work in progress. I wish I knew why the front sits so much lower.

Yeah well I was hopin the back would settle but its not getting any lower. Oh well ill figure out something my roomate knows how to measure and cut springs so I might have him cut the back just a lil to even it out some. Id rather lift the front though a bit. Yeah he has a 91 NSX painted Anthracite. Its pretty clean with a few mods heres a few pics of that in teh garage dont have any outside ones at the moment.

Not a fan of the wing. And Im not too keen on the pre-97 model years, but I wouldnt complain if someone gave me one.

But, ummm, whats going on with the Civic? I see no bumper, what appears to be no hood.....engine block sitting next to it.....hard to tell from the angle, but is it an 89? I can't really make out if the seatbelt is on the door or not, and the low quality doesnt help with the lower trim.

BTW, dont cut springs.

Lol its nice, the wing is a Taitec wing, all carbon fiber, he has not installed yet: taitec carbon rear diffuser, taitec test pipes and exhaust and a mugen front lip. Cant wait to see those on it. As for the Civic, he has a complete Sir front for it, a complete built b16a with all mugen jun toda and spoon parts runnin a 13.4 compression ratio on it. He hasnt had time to finish it he had a 91 with all those parts and scrapped it for the 89. I dont think he is on here but he is on nsxprime and hondatech. lol

Good stuff!

I dropped mine on Tein S-Tech and have the same issue/feeling that the rear is a bit too high compared to the front (sorry no good side-on pic). Thought it might settle but no.

Did some research/thinking - consider that the springs were designed for M/T and A/T cars, and the front of the A/T car is a lot heavier, and the spring designers probably assume more M/T cars will get modded...even tho thats a stupid assumption for the CL.

Also, as some have said, load that trunk with some audio stuff or a few bodies and it will drop right down. I know mine looked pretty with a move's worth of crap in the back, but I think if it sat even without junk in the trunk it would scrape the Y-pipe all the way home with anything big in there!

Self leveling air bags, coilovers, or junk are probably the only option for an even drop. Oh yeah and don't cut the springs even if your boy know the "proper technique" - you don't want something to kick back at a weird rate going into a turn hard, trust me.

Thanks for adding some weight to my point. The springs are designed for the middle of the road apparently.

My A/T is too low in the front, your M/T is too high. I think its about a 50 pound difference between the trannys if i remember correctly.

Wierd, Well I got the company I bought my setup from to send me another set of springs to see if that would fix the problem. I only changed out the rear because I kinda like how aggressive the front looks. Well after installing the new rear springs now the driver side has 3 finger gap and the passenger rear has 2 finger gap.... WTF? Im so aggravated with this. The GYB GR2's are great, just the springs dont sit right. Im just gonna wait another 2 weeks or so and when my grant check comes in just order some other springs. I wanted to do the teins but ive been doing alot of reading on here about the height difference as well. So now Im not sure what springs to go with.... I searched and read alot.... POISX, what springs were you on in the pics yo posted? OEM struts or aftermarket? I love the drop on yours.... And for giggles heres an updated pic of my roomates NSX, he installed the Taitec diffuser and exhaust and i think it makes the wing look more like it belongs....

Not the best but we just finished putting the tranny back in and putting in the Love Fab headers, test pipes, and the taitec exhaust and we wanted to see what it sounded like. The smoke is from all the trash in the exhaust it had been sitting for a while...
