Weird throttle problem when changing gears
So lets start from the beginning...
1. IAC was acting kinda funny (bouncing idle 750-1.5k)
2. Random misfire (one of the coil packs were bad)
So this past weekend I went ahead and replaced the IAC and replaced all 6 coil packs for the hell of it. At first startup the idle was at 1k....checked for leaks around throttle body and also checked to make sure the throttle cable wasn't pulled too tight. Disconnected the battery for a few minutes to reset and then started the car and let it idle for a few minutes. Idle was smooth and all until I went to drive it. I noticed when changing gears 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, etc.. when I press down the clutch peddle the RPM's jump up a tab (maybe 100RPM) and then slowly drop.. To rev match i'm having to wait longer then usual. Any ideas as what the problem is?
1. Mats are not stuck by throttle
2. When I press clutch in, my foot is completely off the throttle

My rps jump up a bit also, has been doing it since I got the car. I just kept driving it thinkit it was normal. Not sure though. Try lubing up the throttle spring. Disconnect the throttle cable from the tb and while u pull on the cable, have someone press the pedal slowly and release it ans see if the cable sticks/ if their is a lot of drag on the cable once the pedal is released. Might be the cruise control cable also

In theory, rpms should drop from reving in Neutral or in motion changing gears. right? If I rev in neutral it drops fine, but when i'm driving and changing gears its a different story.

Whats up with RDX owners?

IIRC, its the dual mass flywheel that revs up a bit. Its been awhile since I drove with the stock setup though.

I dunno, maybe its because I haven't driven it in 5 days...but then again, before I replaced the IAC and coil packs I didn't notice anything different. It does seem to hang for a second before dropping RPM's.... who knows.

I remember mine hanging a bit, but if your IACV was malfunctioning, maybe it was staying shut during shifts so the revs would just drop?
