I keep hearing this wierd sound whenever i drive really slow over bumps. I have got out of the car and tried shaking it pushing down on it and it doesnt make that sound. I have no idea what it might be. I have lowering springs and after market exhaust. I know the car is about the right age for new shocks could that be it

Is it a clicking? I had a problem with my sway bar initially when I first had the car lowered. Though it could be bushings, strut mounts, shocks.

Perhaps you shouldn't have eaten those special Pac Del Yaco Taco's. J/K

 

I think I may have a solution for you:

1. Put your car on a lift.
2. Take off your 2 front wheels.
3. Put a jack underneath the front lower suspension to raise it up to where it would be if your wheels were on.
4. Tighten the bolt that holds the lower control arm down with a impact gun.

This should get rid of the squeaking noise. I had it on my car and it drove me nuts until I did this and I got rid of it.

Well finally got a hold of the JACKASS aka CHOPS. I think we finally concluded it was the exhaust so will be sent to the shop tommorrow.

 

just came back from pepboys (ny) had the same problem, my sway bar nuts came off, the lock nuts are worn. so it vibrated off. new bushings & lock nuts coming soon 2 a CL near u.
