Sometimes when I brake, my car makes a sound very similar to the sound of the ABS charging when you first start going after turning on the car.

This has only happened a couple times, but it really concerns me since it sounds so much like the ABS charge. It usually happens when I'm going slow and braking to a full stop, or nearly a full stop.

Anyone had this issue or an idea about what it is..?

 

well it might be that your pads need changing. I know on my 1st gen that there is a sensor that gives off a sound from my brake to tell me that it is time for a change. take it in to the dealer and have them check it out...that's about the easiest way to figure out what happened.

 

I've had brakes go out before so I know what that sounds like, plus I only have 9,000 miles on my car..

 

Any other thoughts, anyone?

 

Well it sounds like you just need new brake pads. Take it to Acura and it should be under warrenty.
