Sounds like gum is sticking to the floor??? Or do you mean the road?? I had a nail in my tire once, and it made a clicking noise every time the tire went around, got faster the faster I went. I was scared, thought it might have been the axel or ball joint(wasn't my CLS, was an old tempo), thought it was something major, turned out to be a nail.

do you hear this noise all the time??? I know there is a street by my house that evertime I drive down it I think my tire is flat. It have something to do with the way the pavement is. just something to think about.

it could be a stone in the tread. when i hear that clicking noise, i usually swerve back and forth and it breaks loose the stone usually

I think that noise is the indicator for rear brakes needing service or replacement. Same thing happened to my 99 CL. Have your brakes checked!

yea thats what i was gonna say. I noticed a ticking from my front right tire when i had my window down a week ago, so i pulled over, and it was just a stone stuck in the tread. I just do an annual check for pebbles and pop em out.
