When I am at a light (car stopped) my RPMs seem to drop almost to 0 and It feels like the car wants to shut off, but it doesn't. Does anyone have a idea what that is or whats causing this to happen. I have a 2001 w/ 44500 miles <--(if this helps).

 

Has this always happened? How long has it been going on? Did you recently install something on your ride?

 

sounds like your tranny is on the verge of dying on you...i'd take it in for a checkup

 

It happenes every once and a while. I haven't installed anyting.

 

Dude, it's your throttle body. I had my transmission replaced at 50K and at 56K, two weeks ago I hade the same problem. Acura handled it and I didn't have to pay anything though my car is out of warranty. You may want to check that out.
