Which way do slots face on rotors?
Hey guys... I have simple question. Which way do the slots face on my new slotted rotors? If you're looking at the drivers side front wheel, which way should the slots go, this way / slot heading down toward the front of the bumper or this way \ the slot heading up toward the front of the bumper??? And the back driver side? The back caliper is on the other side of the rotor so should the rotor slots face oposite as the fronts? WTF??? My rotors don't say left or right so I'm stuck. I've done a seach and the pictures haven't helped. I did a google and there was a debate on JDMhatch.com about it. PLEASE HELP!!! NEED TO GET THEM TOGETHER TODAY!!! Thanks peeps.

Thanks everyone. I put them on the direction both of you said already. Every picture I saw on google images when I searched slotted rotors was that direction so I went for it. All seems fine so far.

Well, here's the final results. I know I'll probably get
for the bronze/gold calipers, but I love how they came out, they look awesome in person. It's a crappy picture because all I have is my cell phone at home today. More pictures to come soon. The rotors are drilled/slotted R1 Concepts Premium rotors and the pads are Axxis Ceramic ULT pads, front and rear.

You still put them on backwards...
I'm assuming that the picture that you have posted is the drivers' side front tire (because of the caliper).
The slot should run in the opposite direction, because of the purpose of the design.
I got this from from a manufacturer's site:
...disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Please see figure. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat...
All in all, I bought some Brembos for my Integra that had left and right on the boxes several years ago, so that is one reason I say that way...
But I don't think it would really matter to much with straight vane slots and on a vehicle that is not used on a race track...

Depends on how the rotor was designed and cut. Powerslots face oposite of Rotoras are just one example.
