Watch you type-S badge

Some idiot in a new celica tried to race me the other night. After he passed me (80-90 in a 55 zone), I waited for a light. As expected, I killed him to about 70 and let off. When he passed me agian he pulled in front of me close, and low and behold he had a type S badge on that Toyota. I assume he stole it. So be aware. Who would do such a s@#tty thing?

That's one of the reasons I took mine off, along with the 3.2CL badge. Mine was broken at delivery - I'm assuming because someone had tried to swipe it.

Im always afraid of someone trying to steal my Acura sign Sigh, if they are going to take it, take it, but at least do it in a fashion where you don't scratch the car!

I got my TYPE-S stolen off my car and then they keyed it from the front fender to the trunk and marked OU for Oklahoma University while I was in Austin, Texas.

Can you belive people actually ripped off 4 of my old BMW 2002ti badges back when I had to park on the street. Geez.

What next, an alarm on our stickers/badges?

I guess they just needed, "... some stinking badges"

I have already taken the Acura letting off the back, I figure if someone jacks the type S logo I will take everything off except the acura logo.

I'm thinking about taking the 3.2 CL and Type S off and remounting the type S somewhere inside the car. I'm going to leave the "A" and "A C U R A." Don't think that will be a risk.

Great idea on putting the type s badge inside. I bet it would look sweet on the passenger side dash somewhere. If you do it, post a pic. I really want a TL-S steering wheel too, that adds alot to the interior.

Were there any holes under the Badge/lettering? I heard there is a hole under the A in Acura. Is this true?

Thanks

Here's another place I was thinking of putting it.

On the shifter knob. Just not sure if the one that is printed on the shifter is gonna be the same size is the actual one from the trunk. I think that would add a classy non-loud, non-obvious look to the car.

It has double sided tape. Someone could just walk up and rip it off.

Did the Celica have the exact type S on it like our cars, because the new Celica have a GT-S version and the "S" is read and similar to size and shape of our "S" Just wondering.
BTW my friend just bought some Red Emblems and they were jack that weekend at a club.

Yeah, I'm sure it was a CL-S badge. It was one of the 180Hp VVT-i's though. I got a good look at it, 'cause there's no way that poser could pull on me. What's the best way to remove 'em with out hurting the paint. My dealer tagged my car, I want that off as well.

Heat the area well with a hair dryer and use dental floss to "skim" it off the car. Make sure that the area is really clean first so you are not skimming dirt across the surface.

Then take pictures and show us. There have only been a few good pictures of naked butts.

I just slowly peeled the badges off with my fingers. The paint wasn't scratched at all. The badges are just plastic.

that sux.
5 days after my brother bought his '00 ITR, they took off the front and rear emblems from the parking lot of a movie theatre....

he refused to drive his car without the badging, especially looking like that. they scraped the paint, thankfully it was covered by a new emblem.... which was his Xmas present from me...

I hope the people who stole stuff from other people's cars and put them on their own cars will crash their cars soon and go to hell. An Acura badge is only $20-$25!!!!
