Washed the car and WTF is this SHIT????
Alright everybody, see if you can tell me what the hell to do... As I washed the car, I realized a few of the spots wouldn't come off so I washed again, and now the spots are still there. I thinka few birds used my hood as target practice, but what the fuck, why won't this shot come off???? Here a pic to decribe my dilemma. I tired to clean and even sratch with my nail and still no go... How crummy is this paint??? Is that shit STUCK on there? Did it eat thru????

I can't tell what the hell your pictures are (could you post a less zoomed view?), but if it is a stain in the clearcoat, go with the green tub of Turtle Wax polishing compound.
A bird shit all over my 2000 TL in the airport longterm. I keep a towel in the trunk to wipe off bird shit, and when I did, there were these stains. The polishing compound took care of it.

The first time I went to my SCCA SOLOII event I used a paint marker on my window----yellow. It leaked down the window and on the rear quarter. I promply wiped it off then immediately flushed it with water. it wouldnt come off....I tried my wheel silicone...nothing....on the way home to the car wash nothing.
I thought I stained the clearcoat. My girlfriend came out with the bottle of LEMON FANTASTIK......VOILA - gone instantly.
She now holds this over my head...I really do need her!!!!!

jdl may be right...
My wife's car had a defect that looked like yours, but this was on a door that had been repainted. The job had a lifetime guarantee -- so back it goes to the paint shop. They made a comment (as did the detailer) that it looked like bird $hit had hit the car and that they were seing a lot of this stuff.
The normal drill is to polish it out -- don't go crazy, but try some 3M Swirl Remover, and see if that removes it.
As a note, they did have to repaint my wife's door, but the problem was probably due to some "filler" that was put below the spot from a previous ding fix...

I have the same problem. My hood was replaced a couple months ago so i have been making a concerted effort to keep it lookin new. Some bird crapped on it one morning and i went to take it off that night and it looked like it bubbled the clear coat or something in the exact shape of the splatter. You cant feel it but it shows so i clayed the car and it still there </STRONG>

I to am looking for answers on this paint. I had the paint etched on my spoiler after only two weeks. It was only on the car a couple of hours. Since then I have found three more spots, two are from some kind of bug and it was only on the car an hour. The car was waxed with carnuba. I have a 99 TL and a 91 Integra in addition to my 01 CL-S and they don't have this problem. I am thinking about a sealant but don't know if this would be better.

Having worked in Engineering at Marysville and East Liberty, I've seen first hand the R&D work done on our paint.
In the summer of 1997, Marysville installed brand new paint equipment on the A & B lines. this was in responce to the EPA reg that all car manufacturers in the US move to a water-based paint (water as a carrier instead of a petrochemical). This time was selected because the KA Accord was a brand new model, and the 1999 TL was soon to follow (location of 2000 CL manufacturing was not yet wide-spread knowledge, even in the new model group - it was in East Liberty at that point. I digress...).
The water based paint has a couple inherent problems. One, the carrier (water) evaporates much slower than the petrochemical carrier. The result is the dreaded orangepeel, drips and sags. Dirt also seemed to be a problem early on, but was attributed to the new equipment.
Two, and you can ask PPG & Dow why, but the water-based paints are softer and not as tough. They are improving, but they are not as tough as the petro-based paint.
The Acura/honda paint process is among the best available in the US under the new technology. Not everyone has switched yet, but they must by 2003 (I think - it is coming up).
BTW, put a pearl white RL next to a pearl white TL. Which looks better? They both use the same brand paint, but the RL is from Japan, where petro paint is OK.

Try using the oil from a can of peanut butter. I know it sounds funny, but it worked for me to remove some really tiny black spots (work near a painting facility). Got the tip from a car wash shop.
