warranty of window motor
For the last week my driver's window has been going down fine, but on the way back up, its shudders. I'm trying to figure out if its just because of the cold, or if its the window motor or something inside the door. Any ideas anyone? or any info on window motor warranty?

have you had the door off for any reason? Accident, after market alarm or an addition to an alarm??
My del Sol had an issue because I had power door locks installed. My CL had problems too but because I had a wire connected to my remote start rubbing.
I would say the warrany depends on if you purchase her new or used.

i have had mine replaced 3 times already. They try and blame the tint sometimes, but it happened to me before and after the tint was on. They are junky regulators.

Your window regulator has failed .The window regulator uses an endless cable to lift or lower the glass.SInce the cable will stretch over time there is a mechanism on the regulator designed to take up this slack that develops .However over time even this mechanism will be unable to compensate ,once it reaches the limits of what it can compensate for in cable stretch the glass begins to judder .Have your dealer look at it and make certain they replace it .
Just a note here ,window tint does contribute to the problem .Window tint has a higher amount of drag as it goes past the various seals that keep the car dry .This in turn puts a greater amount of strain on the mechanism stretching the cable faster .
The warranty is the same as the basic car waranty 4 years or 50000 miles.A dealer can upon inspection of an out of warranty vehicle apply "goodwill" towards the repair and still get it covered .You will have to ask your dealer and see if they can get you covered on a one time "goodwill" gesture .

If they were real jerks they could decline to warranty the regulator but only if they were real jerks .If they choose to go that path contact Acure Client Services at the 800 number in your owners manual .This will end up in with ACS sending your dealer an e-mail and most likely Acura will just buck up for the repair and fix the car .
