Exclamation warranty question

Hi all,
I am bringing my car in for 02 sensor replacement, and it's covered under warranty. But here is my question, will the below mods that I've done to my car avoid the warranty?
1. aem cold air intake
2. splice the wire for fogs
3. aw header
4. suspension upgrade

thanks.

I doubt that would matter, it depends on who (advisor/tech) works on Ur car.....

The only thing that might cause a prob would b the intake, but I doubt it.

What do U guys think?

Not sure what your dealers are like but mine in Denver and actually anywhere in CO pretty much suck. The only thing I'd be worried about is the headers and maybe the intake.

damn... that sucks... then I guess I'll take out my aw headers this weekend and put my stock headers back on. I wanted to switch to comptech headers anyway, so this would be a good opportunity to take it out.

You might call another dealer and ask them if those mods will void your o2 warranty first before going through the trouble. If where you live is like where I live there are only like 4 or 5 stealerships within driving/calling distance. DON'T call the people you're taking it to though! My $.02

None of that has anything to do with an 02 sensor.
And how do you know the 02 sensor needs to be replaced?

^^^ I agree with you. All I was saying was knowing my dealers, they will tell you the opposite and make you cough up the cash to fix it.

It's really up to the dealer. They can be dicks about it, but really they shouldn't deny warranty work unless they can prove that the mods lead to the failure.

Here....take a read.

Depends, they could give him flak for the headers since there is an 02 sensor in the down-pipe and it would need to be removed from the old and placed in the new one.

Other than the headers, the rest of those mods have nothing to do with the 02 sensor.

Why not let him replace it? It's only a few minutes to replace. It's not hard. You can try to get it done under warranty. If they have a problem just leave.
