Okay, I have no idea if I'm still insured under warranty. I have a 2001 Acura CL I just bought and it has 38,000 miles. I bought it used from a small dealership in San Antonio, TX but the car is at my house in Houston, TX. Am I still waranteed under the manufacture warranty? The car was registered 07/2001. Has anyone had the same scenario with me and can I just go to any dealership to claim the TBS warped rotors warranty.

Tell him that your rotors are warped and the guys from the Acura-CL board said that you would get them fixed. Sorry but I don't have AIM...

Did you get yours resurfaced or rotors replaced for free?

I took mine to Sterling McCall and I got new rotors. Unfortunately I still had the same problem so I now use x-drillled and slotted w/ no problems, just a squeak here and there from Axxis MM pads.

I don't understand dealers/mfgs on issues such as this. Why don't they take their cost on cheap parts like this and upgrade us to aftermarket parts, and just charge us the difference? I'd do it in most cases. Shoot, they'd come out ahead in the long run since they wouldn't have to keep replacing/resurfacing their cheap rotors.

I recently brought my '03 in for a complaint of vibs while braking at highway speeds of 60+. The dealer (Ocean Acura, NJ) found the rotors out of spec and replaced rotors and pads under warranty. I have 30k on the car.
