my car was shaking when stopping at high speeds and saw the TSB about the issue so i took the car to the dealer. and the dealer started telling me that it happened because i am hard on the brakes...is he full of crap?

 

yes....hes trying to bust ur balls to say its ur fault...my brakes are shot to hell and are warped majorly...i am taking it in this week and i sure will show them the TSB.

 

Go to another dealer. The TSB is clear and you have the exact symptoms.

 

Where can I get the full TSB to bring to my dealer also please?

 

As far as I know, the TSB for brakes is for the TL, not the CL. You are probably going to have to either call around to find a dealer that will cover it for you under warranty or call Acura Customer Service and complain to them.

This bulletin board seems to have some weight when you call Acura CS...saying that there are many people with this same problem and people have been getting the TL repair done to their cars (thicker rotors and new pads)...and complain about the lame response from your service dept.

i just got back from the dealer this morning with the new brake pads. i didn't get any hassles at all and neither should yall, i didn't have to show them the tsb, the dealership just took care of it.

This is wrong...the TBS covers CL's also. Go to the dealer and mention the TBS and they have to fix it by resurfacing your rotors and giving you new brake pads.

 

Yes, the tsb includes the 01+ CL and TL.. Here is the pic of the TSB..

 

Yeah man you should be able to get the front rotors resurfaced and/or replaced for free under warranty at your dealer (any dealer).

I got free front rotors and free front brake pads, but it might have just been a resurfacing except I know the tech and he made sure I got new stuff. If your dealer is trying to BS you about this, go somewhere else.
