Warning for Comptech Headers self-install...

IT IS A B!TCH. It took me nearly all day to put them in. I could probably do it again in half the time if I knew what I was going to run into. What sucked the most was that I had to unbolt the rear engine mount to get the rear header onto the studs. That and trying to bolt the flanges together with a torque wrench on one side while the nut keeps spinning because no wrench on Earth could fit up there to hold it. Anyway, they are in now... look great! I like how the car sounds now, I was not expecting that. Took it for a drive but it seems there is only traffic and stoplights in L.A. so I didn't get a chance to open it up... Damn all-day car projects...

p.s., here is the difference between stock manifolds and Comptech Headers:

Yep. Comptech should weld-dead the nuts. The technician in Acura spent almost half an hour to get nuts in position.

But any resonance?? Mine seems ok.

Not sure exactly what you mean by resonance sound. Yes the car sounds a little different, but there are no annoying resonating sounds that I have noticed yet. I really like how it sounds now!

You don't have to take the mount off... it just slides in. You should use a swivel-socket.. helps!

On the A-pipe to manifold bolts... yup, its a pain, BUT if you lodge a socket in there or have someone hold it from up top, you'll
be fine!

Some people with the OBX headers have complained about a resonance sound at certain RPM. I've not heard anyone complain about the Comptech brand.
