For those of you making AV changes to your car.
The emergency parking brake switch is a negative source of power. I hooked the avelectronics box up to a positive thinking it was like an amp or a stereo. Not a good move. Mow I have to send this 500.00 item back to Atlanta to have it repaired at my expense. Not good.

Retired. Not available.
CBR1100XX,
It's not "negative power", it's ground. When the parking brake is engaged, you have ground on the wire. The whole purpose of that wire in the AV box is that you cannot watch DVD while the car is moving (this is to cover their asses). No one that I know of connect that wire to the actual switch. Everyone grounds it.
G-Unit,
Kenwood and Pioneer do not (or no longer) make the DVD on Navi conversion box.

Actually they are repairing the box for 75.00 + shipping again. Shouldn't be anymore than 95.00.
Silverknight,
So all i need to do is connect the yellow wire to the same ground I am using for the black wire right?
