Not a CL related question, but just curious if anyone has encountered this, and if so if they have any suggestions on how to fix it.

I got an old ford probe. It runs great except that if it starts when warm it stalls. Has no problem with cold starts, but just dies on warm starts.

Any ideas?

Fuel vapor lock? Or the car is running too lean. Cold start is a different fuel map which adds fuel and might mask the problem. Is the fuel filter due for a change? Are the injectors cleaned regularly with an additive?

 

If you give me a year and engine size, I can look into my Snap on fast track troubleshooter manual. Nevermind, can't find anything on the Probe.
