Hello Boys & Girls,
I came across some interesting tidbits from beta.vtec.net

Makes you think twice about handing the 6speed '03 keys to a teenager. Might as well use the RSX as a beater.

Here's what happens when:
1) Inexperienced people try to speed shift
2) You let someone inexperienced drive your car (this isn't my car, BTW - I got the video from elsewhere on the 'Net)
3) You're not used to closely spaced gates in a transmission

i missed a down shift once, went from 5th to second. I was going about 60, so nothing too shity would have happened. As i was letting out the clutch i head the engine start screaming, so my insticnts made me put the clutch back in. It only reved to 4k, disaster averted. The guy in the video let the clutch all the way out and just looked at, What a fool.

How would a rev limiter stop the engine from spinning that fast when it is mechanicaly connected to the tranny and wheels which are spinning much faster? Sure it was cutting fuel and timing but the engine was forced to spin that fast, pressing the clutch back in is the only remedy.
