just wondering if the vtec is controlled by the computer? if so is it possible to make the clp change at lower rpms like the s model? just curious.

i read that in the faq too, but you definatly hear the crossover around 4500ish rpm on the cl-p. Weather it actually engages or waits till 5500 i dont know.

How VTEC Works:

the chip controls when vtec kicks in but in the dev days it was done off of oil pressure alone.

I got a CLS and past 4800 when the VTEC kicks in, it's beasssttty as hell. But like some of the people here said, Acura puts it at a certain RPM for good reasons. You better bring your A game if you're trying to tune the governing software on the VTEC.
