VSA's Mircale in Recent Toronto Snow Storm

It was definitely a continuing snowstorm that started early the night before. It was 11:00 a.m. and I was on the 401 heading east from Dixie to 427 south, Downtown Toronto. As the highway started to split between the 427 south (the lane which I was on) and the continuing 401 east, I perceived no trouble driving at about 50-55mph. Mind you, the snow was thick, unshovelled and unsalted – so it was mega slippery.

I was on my way when all of a sudden, this car, all the way from the left most lane jumps three lanes to get into the 427 south exit – my exit! The guy ends up sliding perpendicularly in front of me and I slam on the brakes. From my snow driving experience, I knew that from jamming the brakes and steering, the car will start to turn and spin. But the miracle of the situation was that the car kept straight in such a calm and composed manner along the line of the steering wheel’s pointed direction!!! As I was doing this, I saw the VSA light flashing.

The idiot ended up sliding past me almost into a ditch as I kept going straight out of his way.

Everyone, the VSA alone has more than proved its priceless ness to the CL-S!!!

I knew that I was going to spin into a ditch due to the velocity and angle I was going but the car handled it so well!!!

VSA light flashing the whole time ... i'm sure it helped me, i shit a brick.

i was doing 117km/h...usually cops dont pull you over at that speed, i was driving 117 because i knew there were cops..it was late at night and i wanted to get home FAST so i thought if i went slower than this they might think i have something on me, and bait myself out.

I was kind of pissed at the cop, but he said it was a NO-TOLERENCE week or something. I paid it, cause no points on it, but very pissed. ticket was not expensive.

good to hear about the lower speed and no points thing. But that sucks, the cops leave us to believe that 120 is all good and then smack (it's like the cops insurance policy) they hit you!

Forget and move on, you're right man.
