VSA ABS /!\ lights still on
VSA ABS /!\ lights still on
The paperclip trick doesn't work for this.
I've used two different OBD II code readers that say "no codes found."
The lights came on when I ruined the Front left ABS speed sensor, and i replaced it.
What's the deal? Do I need to pull a module out of some fuse box somewhere?
I know someone here has the answer!

How hard was it to replace the speed sensor? My front right has messed up on me and I need to replace it. I had to place mine on a OBD ABS reader to find out what was wrong, have you done that one and tried to reset?

The ABS reader plugs into the same spot as the other OBD readers. At least that was where they connected mine. I had it done on a Military post at the auto body shop. Just make a few calls and ask it they have an ABS OBD reader. Cost me 40 bucks to have it done. Might have been able to get it done elsewhere cheaper but I am trying to earn some free service hours!

Screw it. I just dropped the CL off at Acura Service (first time i've been there)- they are doing it for $90 and a tranny fluid change (first time since i bought the car 2.5 yrs ago). I'm looking forward to the results!
The manual says to check the 7.5 amp R/C mirror fuse. It may be blown.
Do you have any codes?
The manuals says if you have no codes & the ABS light will not turn off, There's a shorted wire somewhere. And has a series of steps of jumping the connector wires to find it.
The module looks to be REALLY easy to replace. It's that thing on the passenger side of the engine bay that has all those metal lines running into it. Then just bleed the system after replacement. The part may cost a lot though.
The ABS control unit is behind the drivers side kick panel.

ABS light on
I read as many comments as I could about my ABS light coming on. When I started the car, I heard the ABS motor and after a short while it would stop and the ABS light would come on.
After a lot of reading, I determined that the ABS reservoir may need break fluid. Well, tonight, I filled it (it was not full). I started teh car and drove around for about 20 minutes and the ABS light did not come on. Problem solved. The repair shop told me that the fix was to pay them $1,200.00. Break fluid that I had in my garage and a whole bunch of reading on this forum solved my problem.

I just checked: all 7.5 amp fuses are fine. I did an ebay search for an ABS "modulator" and results came up for the ABS pump.......I guess that might be it? It is the same part that has all of the metal tubes attached to it.
The Acura Part # for the ABS Modulator is 57110-S84-A51. Acuraoemparts.com has it for $772.82.
However, if you go to hondaautomotiveparts.com they have the same new modulator for $694.47. Plug the Acura # into the part # field and hit search.
It also appears that they may have a remanufactured one as well for $236.46

It's been awhile since I've looked into this issue, and am now ready to fix this once and for all. I remember the Acura mechanic telling me that the speed sensor connector was in fact not OEM, and he asked where I got it. I told him I got it online for $13.00, and he said that the sensor was bad (I installed it a few days before) and probably never worked to begin with. So i'm ordering a new one from Acura today, and I was wondering if anyone has a Helm's manual or service manual for special pointers/instructions for the install like torque specs and such.....thanks.....!
