I'm not WOT in that video until the very top of 1st gear. If I had been I earlier would have broken loose.

that's why many of us shiftgate . . . you can downshift at 30mph that way . . .

I don't use the gate to shift anymore. The car revs too quickly for the rev limiter to catch it sometimes. Bent valves =

I think I could take you from a dig... maybe up until 70 MPH or so when you'd scream by me.

I ran power3dfx the other night after his car is tuned and running well. I had a 200lbs passenger, but he took me about 3 car lengths from the dig and I only passed him in 4th gear. It's tough to catch up after someone already has the momentum built up especially when their car is very quick.

My 1st and 2nd are useless from the dig... I can't floor it at all

By the way... the auto turbo-cls spins forever on the 1-2 shift on 19's and 500 extra pounds of stereo equipment. It even spins the tires on the 3-2 downshift.

Where in VA do you live? Come to the track with me and we will play around with tire pressure, launch techniques etc.

I'd say drop the fronts 7-10psi from where they are when you arrive at the track (this is what I do) since you really can't measure COLD tire pressure after you've driven more than a mile or so. You can also raise the rear pressure 5-7psi to help with the weight transfer.

When you launch you just gotta feel how the tires are holding. If you go WOT too soon you'll spin halfway down the track; too late and your times will suffer.

Watch the Meets forum; i'll post something in there. Hopefully i'll be at the track next weekend or the following weekend. It all depends on the weather, etc.
