That's gotta hurt ... seeing a V6 staying up with your super-duper V8 ... I hope the Mustang driver was alone so he doesn't have to explain what happened.

Would that hurt? The Mustang driver did have a super duper V8 with a blower, and the Roush Stage 3 is capable of clicking high 12's in the quarter. Zootking was spraying, probably 100shot... and he has lots of mods on his car. Good luck keeping the Stang in eyeshot without the spray, and good luck keeping up with the stang out of a dig...

What's more, that's not to say that YOUR CL would even be close. Hahhaha...

Yeah, thats me....and it actually wasnt that bad w/out spray, he pulled on me by like 2.5cars til 120, which is noticeable b/c he puts 300 to the wheels stock and i put around 305 spraying.....if you could've seen the look on his face though, he was like, i have 360hp, how did that happen??? I have to admit, i was surprised as well......the funny part is, he went and put 3.73 gears, a bassani x-pipe, and a short throw shifter in and we're still the same.....we're gonna try and do it from a dig this weekend if its nice, i think it'll still be similar cause they have some traction issues as well...but we'll see

not trying to take anything away from zoot...but i had similar experience with a roush III vert that looked just like that...ask him if he's been to tampa.? i saw him first at sunshine (1/8th mile) then ran him on the road...i kept up very well....he said he ran 8.5 if i remember ,here ive gone 8.9,close enough that if i get the jump he would have to reel me in and i guess it would take until 80mph or so where that might happen....

I wouldnt call him a friend, he's 17 and a senior in high school, he hangs out with some of mine and Fastvteccl's friends who have Saleens....it was funny cause the Saleen boys were giving him so much shit but congratulating me at the same time....he's gonna get the 8lbs pulley pretty soon, so i can kiss him goodbye cause with that he'll putting 400 to the wheels....it was fun while it lasted though...

Type-R, i dont think he's ever been to Tampa, but i'll ask...also it should've been like yours and mine's vette encounters....which im happy to have mine up there as im sure you are too...

Saying the CL wouldn't be within "eyeshot w/o the spray" is irrelevant because of the heavy "mods" to the Mustang. Surely, I was not implying my CL (or anyone else's) would be a match for high-12s car.
