Vette or Supra! The answer inside>

After looking at the crazy prices the Supra's are going for 40K+ Due to the Fast and Stupid I could not justify it so after looking for a bargain supra or vette I found a perfect 98 Convertible (my dream car) UAW trash maybe but how sweet it is
P.S. I am now accepting offers on My CLS with 2300 miles

a vette is not a daily driver. You are going to get tired of not having any room. You better keep the CL and just drive the vette on the weekends.

Very nice vette! Love those chrome wheels. Aren't they the same as the Mille Miglia II Sports?

Nice car man!

Very nice. My friend just sold a red 97 vet that he had for a little over a year because things kept breaking. While he had it he spent over $2000 on break/fix problems. I don't know if they are all like that. Good luck.

Shoulda went with the Supra. This way you got the reliability and they're easier and cheaper to mod and make fast. 40K for a Supra, since when? I know they've gone higher but it's not that bad. I don't know how fast u wanted this car but u jus gotta wait till the perfect one it will come. go to supraforums.com and look in the ads section, theres some good ones in there for sale.

As for the Supra I am very picky and wanted a virgin car with less than 20,000 miles AND six speed in White. This was not going to happen for under 40k in 97 and 98 there are approx 300 in white built and the ods of one meeting my demands where slim. The vette is perfect in every way and I stole it! 4,000 miles and a extended factory warranty for 6 years so trouble is not a problem. This car is spotless top and bottom, I could not pass it up. Vette converts also hold there value better than most cars and it helps when you save 20k off msrp

Congratulations! The car looks beautiful. I agree about the reliability issue but as long as you're happy with what you drive, that is all that matters.

Nice vette! I'd love either one, but there's just something about a Supra TT. I wish they still made new ones for the US.

Has anyone even heard of rumors about the Supra being re-released in the US? I'd love to get a new one. I hope Toyota decides to do this since for 2003 we're getting the RX8 and 350Z. I can't beleive there aren't any plans for turbocharged RX8s or 350Zs, that would be awesome.

I bought my CL TYPE S as a daily driver and my Rex as a weekend car. Though I drive my Rex more than my CLS. I drove a Vette ZO6 before and that thing pulls like a mf. Steering is a little tight but everything else is perfect. The Convertible top might take a little getting used to if you don't know where the release button is. The Bose system bumps too.

I disagree. The Corvette was designed to be driven everyday. This is per Joe Spielman. He headed up the program and he came to my college to discuss the vette. Corvette is excellent value for the money.

You can't make a sweeping generalization like that. MagneticC5 has had his Vette less than a year and already has around 20k miles on it. Doesn't seem like he has a problem with it being a daily driver.
