The front does look better. I still don't like the kit on lighter color cars though. Looks out of place to me. On a dark car it looks much better. IMHO.

Maybe we should talk to Garrett about another group buy for that kit...

Maybe get some exact instructions on how to modify the front...like what else is involved aside from cutting the bottom lip off...is it filled with putty, etc.

rondog,

Good work, I'm considering the front lip as an option now..

Btw, any issues with the structural strength of the front lip with the center piece cut off? Does the two sides stay put easy, or does just hang loose off the front (since the material of the kit is very flexable)? Worry about paint cracks.

all the bodyshops mentioned the hollowness of the kit after cutting, but one shop just did it with no ques. I looked under the kit, and ther is barely any loss in structure, it's so stout and baely lower than the height of the stock front bumper. it just flares out i9nstead of curving in towards the body of the car. But only time will tell. I'm also going to get that door sill protector from autozone and line the bottom of the lip with it just incase I scrape. I painted the splitters just incase this doesn't last long too.

Well, that is certainly an easy mod then.

I don't think these guys realize how heavy & strong these kits are...I guess you have to see on in person. They really are very well made...they weigh 29LBS...so there is no 'flapping' in the wind as some have asked about. While the plastic IS flexible, it is certainly not flimsy...

I keep trying to get the photos to come up on the Vursus web page and can't. What is the name of the bumper cover?? I am in need of one and this is the only company I see that makes them for the CL.

Thanks!

innovative :o

Looks really nice. When I first saw the Versus kit, I thought to myself, "there's too much going on in the front... a little overdone."

But yours looks awesome. Great job!

Man, the car looks better everytime I look at it. here's a shot from the second floor...
chikai, check my sig and the grille pics are there. I just painted metal suport piece on the hood behind the black inner grille and the mesh flat black so it wouldn't reflect ant imperfections. I also scored it down the middle and bent it slightly to follow the lines in the hood and bumper. Now the inner grille tends to stop the mesh from being straight, so I cut out the center strip where the "A" symbol and chrome "wing" used to be.

Acura should have designed the car like this and the CL would have still been in production.

here, there are many different preforated metals, just fish throu them.

brian, the 18" in the front is cuz I had 18" all around before and bent a wheel. Instead of replacing it with an 18", I mbought two 19" just to mix it up. the 19" don't fit in the front because the offset is 43mm, so I just kept them in the back. i got a set of forged 3 piece RonJon Luxury Wheels with a black face and chrome lip (check the sig) coming in so they won't be on for long...

Looks GREAT. Nice car. Nice wheels. Nice kit.

The only thing that looks like it is missing is a piece on the doors. It just looks like something is missing and unfinished.

That kit is tempting.

Am I understanding that this is a clip and not a bumper cover? It is the stock cover? I need a bumper cover - the versus and purestyling websites you recomended do not carry covers either. Any other thoughts?

This piece fits over the bottom of the bumper, not a true 'bumper cover'...no one makes a decent replacement yet.

We're working on it though.

I accidently hit two dogs on monday!! So far there is $1,200.00 damage. Do you know what the clips run?? I can get the cover and just add that. I should have $ left over.

why is that: TL's have more than the CL's?

thanks

Tell me you hit the 2 dogs at the same time. Otherwise hitting two dogs at two different times is just the worst case of luck i've ever seen.

they were chasing each other. I have pics - how do you add them on here??

I have been in a total of 20 accidents and none are my falt. I totalled my del Sol, and then I got a 99 prelude and totalled that in 2000. I can't win.

there is no skin - it is about the size of a quarter.

I was told it would be about 2 months before the skin would grow back.

the yellow lab hit the pass side. he had to have his leg removed yesterday. my fog light cut him too. I feel horrible but there was nothing I could do.

I just thought if Ins is cutting me a check for a new bumber I wanted an aftermarket one - but the ground effect clips will do.
