Sup guys. Since everyone recommended me to adjust the valves before the supercharger; i went ahead and did it.

When i pulled off the intake manifold and the valve cover (front); i was expecting the valves to be out of specs. Surprisingly the valves were at specs; so i didn't even bother pulling off the sway and IMRC and such for the other side.

so my question is; do all of our cars have a audible ticking noise?
i actually have a pretty audible tick at idle.
Do any of you guys have same noise?
should i just pull off the rear cover and check the clearance before the supercharger install?

From what I've read it may be the solenoid causing the noise you're hearing, I have it too.

 

Yeah some tick is normal. All 3 of my CL's did it. Some more some less.

 

So apparently you've never driven through a parking garage before in the CL?

 

lol, i changed the purge solenoid valve. I drive through parking garages all the time with my CL...just akward for a 30g car...thanks guys

 

i noticed that the 6speeds have the ticking noise a little worse than the auto 01-02's, but i dont think its anything to worry about seeing as how your valves are in spec.

Yep, the valvetrain is kinda loud on these cars...
