Looks pretty clean buddy. Try posting it for sale on craigslist.com for about $11k and see if you get any takers. Thats how I sold mine and it didn't take very long either.

Glad you're still around LH. How much did you end up selling yours for? How many miles?

Thanks htown. I ended up getting $13,500 for it with 68k miles. I probably could have gotten $14k but I just wanted it gone so I could buy the Jeep.

Nadaguides.com says the average trade-in is $10,200 and the average retail is $12,475 (based on 92k and 80220 zip).

I would say if you try to trade it in you will be lucky to get about $8K. It's not a type S and it's got 92K miles on it. Even though KBB says it's higher. My advice is to try selling it on Autotrader, Craigslist or e-bay or something.

Knock off $2k for any numbers you get from any sites. No one wants a used 100K mile auto CLP.

Then based on that he will get more like $6000 since KBB says a CLp with 92K is bearly wroth $8K.

Try talking to a local dealer. Maybe they will let you put it on consignment. I know Pikes Peak Acura will let you and they seem to always have a CL on their lot. They can sell it for sure.

That's why I didn't want to quote a number in my first post... I'm didn't want to post $6-8K, but that's my feeling... With the fact that it's a CLP and the autotragic warranty is over at 100K, it's gonna be a hard sell unless it listed with a bargain basement price...

I'm seeing $10K 01 CLS's in my area all the time with 80K miles or so...

http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/car/205255902.html

Best bet is to sell this privately... hopefully you'll find someone who will give you close to what you owe... You're definitely going to have to come up with some money out of pocket to pay it off... and some people don't like to wait for a title on a under $10K car... (at least I don't... I like "title in hand" sales).

I sold my car $500 over KBB value for a 2001 Acura TL in Good Condition. If I was going to get desperate, I was going to take the loss and sell it into Carmax.

this is the only non s in the autotrader within 200 miles
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=41
Also i figure since i owe around 10500 i can always take the deck out and put the stock one back in and sell the alpine for good amount of money with the navigation.

I agree with the Helmet that you should be able to get closer to $11K. I would try posting it on as many places as possible. Autotrader, e-bay, craigslist. Any and all of those will give you the most exposure.

Yeah take it out. You'll never get that $$ back if you include it in the car. Put the stock stuff back in.

Yeah, I would take anything aftermarket out of the car and return it to complete stock form. Even if it's just the stereo.

As far as advirtising goes, I'm still a firm believer in craigslist. It will take some time to sell it so you have to be patient. Advertise in Denver as well as Col. Springs (or anywhere in CO craigslist will let you).

If you don't need the car for transportation everyday, see if there is a place you can park it so that people will see it for sale. Put signs in it, keep it clean, etc. (oh yeah and... tire shine, clean wheels, and clean windows go a long way!)

If all else fails, like I said... Consignment. Find a place (like Pikes Peak Acura in the Springs) and see about putting it on their lot fow awhile.

Well, I'm kinda with Zootking, thats not bad for a "quick sale." If you are willing to hold out a little longer, you might be able to get a bit more if you really need it.

Well, if thats the case, they're full of shit. They'll sell the car for more than that and pocket your money.

Try finding a place to park it where people can see it and slap some signs in it. In fact, put signs in it everytime you park it, or just put for sale on it at all times.
