I am definitely getting a V1. Driving mainly in Jersey (Parkway, Turnpike, etc.) do I need the V1 with laser or just the standard model?

 

They only make ONE model.
You get it all for 399.

Yeah, I guess you're right on only one model. Its just that a couple years ago, there were two different models. With laser or the standard K, Ka, and X bands, or something to that effect.

actually, i'm pretty sure they DO NOT use laser in NJ. i believe, dont remember the article i read on this, there was a hearing in one of the NJ courts, and it was found that LIDAR is not accurate in measuring speed, and since our court system works on precednts, laser can no longer be used in NJ court as proof of speed.

 

They do use Radar. NJ State police aquired 30 units I believe and are in use. MY friend just got a 93 in a 65

 

gotta pay more attention to reading what people say LIDAR is what we refer to as "laser," radar is RF and yes they do use it, sorry about ur ticket btw.
