I went to the BMW dealer today. There were 2 2004 530i. Just one word FUGLY.

Check the current lease deals, you might be able to get a new one dirt cheap like the M45:

 

Don't overlook the M45...it's a hot ride & equipped like a Mo Fo!!! Great leases right now too.

I finally did the deal, and picked up the M45 on Friday night ...

WHAT A CAR !!! If you're looking for a BEAUTIFUL V8 at a great price ... get this car !!!

Oh, and my dealer beat that lease deal that's been shown on here by a HUGE AMOUNT of $$$ !!! I didn't get the base car that's advertised either ... mine stickered for $46,355 ... and has ALL the goodies !! I'm still in shock that I was able to get this car for so CHEAP !!!

 

I've never acrtally heard someone not paif by BMW who said they like the look of the new 5 series. I think the previous gen 5 series is one of the best combinations of classy and sporty I've even seen in a sedan. I'd go 540-6 all the way.

 

I would buy a M45 in 2 years when the bad Infiniti re-sale makes it a sub $20,000 car and then VIP it. Nice car buy way off the leaders of the segment.

 

I've seen more and more M45s on the road lately and I have to admit I like that car's look! Dez, congrats and good luck with it!

 

Damn I forgot all about the M45. Good choice, you don't see that many on the road.

 

Excellent choice; you cant go worng with the car. I wish I had the opportunity to lease this car... but I already got 2 cars, and insurance is what kills me.

I will continue to think about this car in the future.

 

Wait for the 6 series, its worth it.

 

Drive all 3 and if you're a "driver" type of driver, I guarantee you will take 540 6 speed or auto over the Benz and Lexus. I have a Lexus LX470 and the reliability is way up there...only thing, Lexus kills you on stupid little service, etc. My oil Change cost me $150...unreal.

 

Thanks everyone .. the lease deal was absolutely INCREDIBLE !!! When you can lease a car of THIS caliber for a mere $418 a MONTH (with TAX included) .. with only INCEPTIONS due at signing .. you'd have to be NUTS to pass up the deal !!!

Ok, I had to pull lots of TRICKS to get that deal, as a 'real world' deal would be more like $470/mo with some considerable down money due for THAT particular model ... but my dealer was upfront with me and appreciated the fact that I showed them the WHOLE deal on paper and I was in UTTER SHOCK when they actually GAVE me the deal !!! I guess sometimes they DO appreciate a well-informed consumer !

So, I could really care less about re-sale value, since I leased the car, but if the resale sucks and I can negotiate a good buy-out at the end, I'll keep the sucker, since I'll NEVER see a deal like that again !!! The money factor (interest rate) came out to be a tad over 1% on the deal - INCREDIBLE !!!

Anyone looking -- GO SEE THIS CAR !!! And if you want the info on the dealer, PM me ! I NEED to send him business now -- since he basically made $0 profit on this deal !

listen to AC he had a dinan 5 540, I've driven his 540 and it was SICK..

one of the best looking sedans IMO w/ the angel eyes and updated tail lights.

Same engines as my 7 but the body is lighter and more aggresive diff and gear ratios.

Drive the bmw , benzo and lex and you'll know what u want.

If u get a 540 w/ navi make sure u upgrade your navi software to the latest split screen. its much faster and looks just like the new navi's .

If you want realiablity then go w/ a lex. cant beat japanese cars for realaibility

Hell the M45 can't even beat the 6-CYLINDER offerings from anyone (according to Car and Driver) and the reviews have been average at best. And duh, there is a reason they are selling it so cheap.

Hell, don't get me wrong...I love a Toyota, but the M45 has 330+ lbs of torque...how can that be a bad thing?

Naw, I've driven it twice and the Q45 3 damn times now. The cars are not but clearly not convincing enough to buy over BMW, Benz or Lexus.

330lbs or torque and it is no faster than my car. For a 2003 model not advancing over a 7 year old car is not progress to me.

 

need I say more this is the car to have if you want to look like a movie star and have chicks on your d*ck....Im telling you I didnt believe it ....its a different game with a Benz people treat you different everywhere you go like your Superstar.

I've gotta agree w/ lou. I'll prob have my CL till i'm outa college, or at least for another 3 yrs or so, but then it's Benz baby! BMW is fawking up their image, and noone around here is even impressed with them anymore. M3s run around like civics. Lexus's are considered mom's cars round these parts. But my uncle parks his S55 AMG in front of the choo-choo (big hotel here) and we had a lil crowd gathered...Benz's are for impressing...

Buy what you want and pay what they want. If you have the money, and/or u r willing to spend it, go for it. MB or BMW.

But if you wanna take advantage of a tremendous lease deal, for a car that gives you lots of torque (ok many of you say that it doesnt compte with some V6s), confy, big, leather, etc, etc, for LESS of what you pay for a 325 Ci loaded, why not consider the M45? a 45k car for $450/month or less 0 down aint a deal?

Ok go buy your used 540i and pay more so.

Hey ... to each his own !!! I love ALL types of cars -- but Benz's really don't do anything for me. I'm not about the whole 'status' thing. I don't need to flock 'chicks' to my car, since I'm married now !!!

When I get a new car, I have to LIKE the car, and LOVE the deal. I really did happen to LIKE the M45 (I'm sure I'll be LOVING it soon - too early to tell, since I just got it Friday), but I LOVED the deal even better -- to me, it was a NO BRAINER !!!

The value was tremendous. I just can't see spending $10-15 more G's .. just to have a Mercedes or 5-series that STILL isn't as powerful or luxurious as the M45 ...
