i would say 540 with the 6 speed.

However 2/3 of those cars have to be autos so i'm thinking the 540 might be too. Either way i'd still go with the 540.

if its 01 go with the 540. If you decide to go newer, dont think twice about getting an E500 with the new 7 Speed. That thing hauls ass and looks hot as hell.

gs4 all the way. it is more efficient and more power than either of the german ones. more reliable too.
but if you want a stick, get the 540

 

if you like driving, then get teh 540

I agree. Reliability goes to the Lexus. Repairs and parts are much more reasonable.

definetly no E430 that thing is ugly the GS400 is nice but the GS430 will outshine it


the 540 will still be hot but look at the new 5 and make sure you can deal with driving the old style car

when I bought my clk430 I like my it more than the clk500 which came out so it made my decision that much easier

4.4L bimmer is def the best engine if thats your question, but the interior of lex wins me over so i'd take a gs430 black over black w/ wing, marc levinson, navi please....

 

 

They are coming, One of the mags just tested an S500 and with the 7 speed it was faster to 60 and the 1/4 by about a half second.

The best deal for the money is the M45 .. hands down !!!

It actually has the best V8 and nicest interior as well. To comparably equip ANY other car in this class with the features the M45 has, it'll cost ya another $10 G's ...

I hope to be picking one up real soon ...

I agree, the 540 6-speed is the drivers car. I've driven it and love it. Manual ownsz Automatics for Drivers, period, I don't care if it's e-shit, autostick, SMG whatever..
Considering the 540 has a 4.4 liter and the GS 400 has a 4.0 liter and auto for auto, the GS is faster and more reliable, I give the engine to the GS.
