V1 Saves My Ass BIG TIME

Ok, coming home from Six Flags, NJ last night. Got my V-1 early yesterday morning. This Maxima wants to run, so we both go through EZ-PASS Lane, (Him in Front) and get onto TurnPike North. As soon as we clear the entrance shoulder he guns it and switches over to furthest left lane. The whole time I am on his ass almost ramming him. I pull hard into the right lane and pass him around 70mph and pull all the way up to 130 before he is too far back to even care. For the next 5-10 Miles he is still on my ass, riceboy fly-bys and in MAJOR denial so we get to around 60mph and we doing a drag from there. At 120 I am still ahead by a good margin when all of a sudden I hear the dreaded beeps. The Maxima passes me, puts on his flashers as I am dumping on my brakes while maintaining composure. Quickly I am down into the 60's (well, kinda quickly brakes suck at 120) when we crest this minor grade hill. And there he is, facing us in the right hand shoulder. My V1 Chirps Loud and two toned arrow pointing ahead and the strength is 5. As I pass the trooper he turns his lights on and he pulls out I figured he somehow nailed me from far out, no, he comes up behind me, passes me, strobes go on in the grill and guess who he pulls over? Oh yeah, the Maxima. I got off at the next exit anyways in case that guy told the trooper he was racing me. Got some fast food, laughed, and got back on 15 minutes later.

Ok, had the detector for 12 hours and it already saved me BIG TIME.

Hardwiring it today when I get home from my overtime.

Good move! And he'll probably do it too. Last time me and another car got pulled over at the same time, the other driver admitted to speeding and with me in the front....case closed.

eclipse23,

The first inital and crucial beeps, could you describe those. Cause mine V1 usually false alarm with 1-point X-band even on the HW. I usually keep my V1 in "semi-logic" mode, only to auto-mute false alarms. I never used the full logic mode.

BTW, Anyone is using the V1 full logic-mode?

Thanks.

I use mine in advanced logic mode because I live and travel around heavily populated areas that have tons of false alarms. Sometimes I go past supermarkets and still get 6 signals on the bogey counter. There are these new overhead signs on the highway that make my laser go crazy.

I use Full Logic “L” all the time in town.
I only use the all signals mode “A” if I will be on the highway for an extended trip.

Too many false alarms in town.
