V1, bel, x50 360 degree radar/laser protection work?

im gettin my windows tinted but i dont know if its worth getting a radar detector anymore. my concern is that v1 wont be able to pick up radar through the tint, is this true?

doesnt it say in the book, dont place in front of tinted areas or hindering objects, or anything that might block the radars field of vision.

I pick up cops that are behind me all the time...but couldnt tell ya if the signal strength would be any stronger if i didnt have tint. I just figure if it can go through transperent glass then it can go through transperent tint

It may affect the laser but how often do you get hit from behind with laser? I never have.

Oh and do yourself a favor and get the V-1

You need to change your name to Mr. New Thread Happy.

And for the record, this is a subject for the "Car Talk" section since it is in no way related to the 2nd Gen CL alone.

not that it will really save you from getting lasered, only thing it'll help is if they try to laser someone in front of you and it catches part of a bounce.

I can agree with that statement. However, this guy needs to learn how to use the search button. He's got about 10 different threads going at once, all of them could have been avoided by simply searching. On top of that, he's getting pretty cocky and rude at some people for no reason.

<---- done.

I wonder if they're referring to metallic tints. I've never had any problems from my BEL. (And I use the tint stripe at the top of the windshield to hide it.)
