The V-AFC does work.

HOWEVER: you have to know how to correctly map the fuel curve in order to effectively produce positive results. It's very easy to really mess things up using the vafc. There are shops that will install and tune it for you but they charge a lot. I rememeber hearing that SP-Engineering in City of Industry in So cal charges about 250 and hour for high performance tuning. They do high quality work.

But to have them or another shop tune the vafc for you is ridiculous because even if you add it and tune it correctly you're only going to see at most about a 3-5 hp increase. not much. But then again it's something. I don't know how adding headers, intake, and throttle body play into this. In addition, if you are planning on getting the S/C i don't know if you even want to touch the ecu because i think (someone correct me if i'm wrong), Comptech remaps the fuel curve for the supercharger already.

anyone else care to chime in on this?

Id have to agree with Sly.....it works, if you know how to tune it right and have enough mods for it to make a difference...usually it will only add maybe 3-5hp like he said....other than that, its cool to look at at night

the peak horsepower figure might seem diminutive, but it will do much to give you more power throught the powerband. so you'll get more power where you didnt before.

you can also benefit from greater fuel economy.

don't bother...I have it, I have tuned it, but it just looks pretty, doesn't really give any noticable gain...
