UPS screwed up...missed connection for my s/c
I have everything except the actual blower unit. It's on the way. But, I checked the tracking today, and this is what I got...
Status: Exception
Shipped to: VANCOUVER, BC, CA
Shipped or Billed on: 1 Mar 2004
Tracking Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Service Type: STANDARD
Weight: 51.90 Lbs
Package Progress:
Date Time Location Activity
5 Mar 2004 13:00 SPOKANE, WA, US MISSED SCHEDULED CONNECTION
What does this mean...Status: Exception...their way of saying they screwed up?
MISSED SCHEDULED CONNECTION just means it's late?
Am I needlessly worrying or should I contact UPS?

Sounds like the UPS truck arrived a little late a the depot and wasn't able to unload for the transfer to a departing truck. I wouldn't worry about it. But it never hurts to contact UPS anyway.
BTW, where's the S/C going into; 5AT or 6MT? In any case, you're going to love the power gain.

Honestly, the B-pipe is more awkward & heavier than the blower..

Ah good old UPS! Sorry to vent....
Every time I've had a delivery from them (in recent memory) there had been one type of problem or another.
They are notorious for not leaving packages that don't require signatures--stating that they need one. Never got a job-offer letter because they wouldn't leave the envelope at my door without a signature. It was eventually sent back to my employer who said they sent it without a signature request. UPS said it was driver discretion. Leaving a note on the door did not help.
I once had them leave 3 delivery attempt slips on one day--saying they tried to deliver on 3 different days (during a work week when I home after 6 PM each day).
ah, and I once had a rug delivered and they dragged it from the truck to my front door (could see fragments on the sidewalk). They ruined the rug--dragging it over the rough surface tore through the plastic and brown paper it was shipped in and ate through part of the rug itself.
If I have no choice over the delivery company and it is UPS, I always track it online and tell them I'll pick it up at the closest facility--before they even attempt a delivery. I just don't trust them anymore.

I can actually install anytime, but I need my stereo installer to put in the fuel pump first. I don't want the mechanic to rip out the custom install and screw something up.

Less than a week only and I'm already itching...I can't handle it...aaaargh.
The s/c is just sitting there calling to me "install me...install me...install me...and unleash the beast!!!"

FYI - Check the blower belt tension. Mine was incorrectly adjusted by the dealer, so I was only seeing about 25% of the potential power increase. After re-adjusting the belt, car was soooo much faster. Anyway, CT said the belt should be adjusted to where the belt can be twisted no more than 90 degrees and no less than 45%.
