For all you BWM lovers...

My friend wants to buy a 2001 330i with the premium package, but it doesn't have the sport package. The handling is a little too soft for his taste.

Anyone know a company that makes suspension upgrade parts for this car?

I'm trying to get an idea of if it is possible to upgrade this and how much it might cost.

There are many tuning options for BMWs

Dinan makes the best street parts for BMWs. From what I hear, the Dinan suspension is wonderful. They are espensive, but have the best product support and a Dealer network. Seamless warranty coverage.

I've been looking at 330i's and all of them come with the sports suspension. The only thing different w/the sports package is the rims,seats, and steering wheel. Not getting the sports package on the 330i is not a big deal. I would buy aftermarket wheels and keep the stock wheels for winter.

 

Tell your friend to save his money and go with H&R Springs and Biltein shocks...Dinan is overrated in suspesion:cost ratio. Most people that mod their Bimmers don't go with Dinan on suspension but Dinan on engine stuff, however on 3 series, ECIS sell quite a few CAI for the 3's and exhaust you can get Borla, SuperSpring, Hamann, ACS, and so on and so on. Mike's right, for some dumb ass reason BMW mods cost 3 time more than Acura mods...why, I have no idea but I'm one of those suckers that paid the $$$$$$

 

this is usually because people that buy BMWs are generally older and dont care to upgrade a car they just paid 40k+ for.. so there is merely less potential customers.. but on the other hand every kid with a civic needs a coffee can exhaust.. also i would trust the bmw mods to be be better tested and engineered..

 

ac is good choice or dinan is good too.. they are very costly too
