Or should i get some proformance instead. so far i put in an AEM cold air and power slot rotors. I'm so undecided on wut to do next. Any suggestion on wut the best thing to get.

Sorry, I wouldn't put 3000$ into any CL, esp an automatic.

Is that SS that much of a drag compared to the manual?? If I mod my car a bit is it not going to be worth it simply because its a SS?

whether you own an auto or 6spd, you will still notice a big difference in performance with the headers, intake, and/or sc.

I don't think that the amount of money in question matters when it comes to deciding if you want to do those mods just cuz it's an auto.

Think about all the people with bmw's, mb's, audi's, that have auto trannies but still mod the shit out of them and perform sweet as hell.

Very true, but you don't see those dealers doing transmission changes as often as oil changes.

Those manufacturers make reliable automatics. I'm sure its very rare if at all that a newer mercedes comes in for a new tranny, especially not their performance brand (AMG)

there is no way you could convert an automatic CL to a six speed for three thousand dollars. where did you get that info from?

If it must go into the CL I'd get headers, mugen mods, crank pulley, cat-back exhaust. That'l be way under $3,000.

Actually MB quality sucks. Look at any quality survey and you'll see. Also, BMW M3's blow engines about as often as we do transmissions.

Try multiplying that x3 or more to get you started.

Seriously? Where'd you here that? I've always heard the M3 is damn reliable.

Is there anywhere we can go for a reliable, affordable performance automobile?

*sigh*

I've heard of benz having problems, But not bmw. haven't heard of m3's blowing their engines as much as honda trannies either. Do you have any links to reports of this happening regularly?

One car BMW makes, the M3. And one engine.

Honda used the SAME POS TRANNY in 5+ vehicles, knowing it was bad... even after they knew of the 01-03 CL and TL problems they put it in the 04 TL...

Gimme a break man...

When you compare, you compare OVERALL long term quality, not one vehicle :P And "initial" quality is not the one you want to watch. It's long term quality. Then make sure you compare apples to apples. MB and BMW have more gadgets/luxury features than Acura does (until the new RL) But even the new RL will put you to sleep... boring...

sheesh...

MB & BMW>>> Acura any day of the week.

need some coffee?

---

in regards to the $3000. buy an extended warranty... you'll need it. I've had 30+ problems with my over-rated Honda.
