Upgraded brakes

Hi everyone.

I'm looking to upgrade my stock brake calipers form a one to two piston caliper. Does anyone know for sure if a set of Brembo Acura TL 2004-2008 calipers will fit on a 2003 CLS? thanks

Paul

i believe you need to make a custom mounting braket. it is not a direct fit.

That should be totally safe!

Not knocking you, just saying that does not sound safe.

It is actually safe, a brake shop can make one for you.

This has been discussed & may be only a few hundred cheaper then a real BBK.

The brembo setup on the TL isn't a very good setup anyway. It's a very low end system. Only marginally better then the stock CLS brakes.

And no it's not a direct swap. As stated you need to fab a new mounting bracket.

I have never performed the swap but look up the Legend caliper swap. It is a 2 piston caliper. So if you are trying to keep the costs down get better rotors, Legend calipers, pads, and stainless steel brake lines. If you want a BBK get a ROTORA 1 PC 13" Disc 4 piston caliper setup.
