Hi.

Car is an '01 CL-S.

I posted a while back that the Navi screen sometimes is just a garbled mess and is completely unusable. You can see colors, but thats it (even the AC screen doesn't work - its just a blue mess on the screen). Sometimes, all I get is straight black and while thin lines. Nothing else.

I've realized that this only happens when its been raining. What's odd is that if its working and then it starts raining, the nav screen continues to work. However, if the car is parked and its been raining, then it usually won't work.

I would have thought that this means its related to the dvd player, but why would the AC screen fail to work if its the dvd player?

The car is not under warranty, so I want to see if I can do some trouble shooting first, but I don't even know where to look....

see if u can load another program to run the ac and u can use it as a car pc btw a new navi is 1600 from acura unless u find one used but all oem navis suck go with kenwood they make good navis pioneer is a lil slow

 

go into the system diagnosis menu, in there the system can do a check of the complete system. Im guessing its best to try to get it to do the check when the screen is messed up if possible. if not, just try it anytime.
