Unorthodox or AEM pulleys?

What is the difference between the two? The Unorthodox is $300 and comes with Crank, Alt., & P/S pulleys. However, AEM pulleys is only $133. Can somebody help me out please.

Here is the for Unorthodox: http://www.race-car-parts.com/oc/gro...x/ultrass.html

ok boys, here are the answers to your questions:

1. Pulley's don't void warranties. Nothing does. Please read ChodTheWacko's FAQ http://www.geocities.com/gamesmgr/chod/acura/ or this one specifically about mods & their affect on warranties http://exchange.ucop.edu/zx2/mods/index.html

2. There is reference to three pulleys. The alternator, power steering, and crank. The AEM kit only comes with the first two. The crank pulley is the most expensive one, and only unorthodox is making it right now. Since I already have the AEM ones, I will only buy the crank one from unorthodox, which is around 200.

3. The reason there are so many option is because of color options, and then they package them together in a bundle, or sell them separately, since people like me only need the crank pulley.

Tell me what color you want (black, blue, red, or polished) and which pieces you want (alternator, power steering, crank, or all of them), and I'll get you the link.

Actually, the Unorthodox one can void the warranty on the car. The AEM ones won't. What's the difference? Well, the crank pulley. Excellent gains can be had from the crank pulley, but Hondas are built with harmonic balancers on the crankshaft. By replacing the crank pulley with a smaller one? The crankshaft now becomes unbalanced....and can potentially break stuff in your motor. The AEMs? Well, they look nice under the hood...

Since you can buy the individual Unorthodox pulleys, what would be better, getting the AEM pulleys or the Unorthodox pulleys without the crank pulley since it's the only one that may harm the engine?

If u have a system in ur car, it's a bad idea to get the AEM because u will underdrive ur altinator. the system eats up more power so basicly ur are only gonna use the one pully, the power steering one. (140 for one pully is a bad idea)

I guess everything must have a downside. What is the cons for the replacing the power steering pulley? A harder steering feel? Wouldn't this be good to some that likes to have a tight wheel?

I have had a system and pulleys for about 6-8 months and have had no problems other than the usualy dimming lights. Yes the stearing is a little tighter when you go back and forth...not good for autoXing if thats what you do. I have the AEM pulleys and I have a 800Watt system.

i have a 750 watt amp (2 ohms) and my interior lights dimm like crazy and that amp is just for my subs. wait till i get amp for my interior speakers. No way is my alternator gonna handle that with an undersized pully.

dude you need "Lighting caps" my friend has them for his Accord he has like a 12 or 15 Solo-Baric (Kicker) with a Kicker ZR amp. anyhow before he got his "caps" at night he'd go down the road with his system bumping, his headlights would dim majorly. he put these no problems with the lights dimming.
