UnKnown Benifit of tail light tint

So I tinted my tail lights at the beging of the summer but not very dark because I didnt want to get in trouble and I noticed les people were tailgating me

Then a couple of days ago I tinted them a lot darker and noticed that people stay way back from me , I loved it

This has been one of the best mods I have done yet due to it being less agervating when driving

Any one else noticed a difference ?

Have you installed brighter bulbs or led's to compensate for the tint ? We all know your the light guru.

Cause they dont wanna hit you. I'd do the same.

I have light tint on my tails and I like it that way. Safety and the cops dont look twice.

Maybe I should move there, I like drafting too

although the cops frown upon it here, saying its unsafe and stupid

well im drafting, not tailgating. I hate tailgaters. Im usually a 3-5 car lengths behind rigs. Drafting cars worry me too much.

Im not a fan of tinting headlight's or taillight's. I think it looks cheap.

hence the 5 car length distance. Otherwise id probably be closer to 3 all the time. and if I hear rocks kicking up, I switch lanes. A couple MPGs arent worth a dozen chips on the hood.

Mine was about %70 but now its about %30-40

and yes I installed LED bulbs in one spot, that I retro fitted because my local shop sucks!! I have 2 20 LED bulbs coming in but its taken 1.5 weeks so far. But I ordered those for the front but if going to see how they look in the back and then probably order 4 proper bulbs for the back.

BTW this is the reason I did the 120 led brake light

My lights are a little darker now but brake lights look fine its the running light that are a little dim

I think tinted tails look sick BTW

Here's mine. Since it seems we're sharing pics.

kinda shows how dark my tint is, left is untinted, then my lightly tinted car, and then dark tinted tails on the right.

I've noticed that recently as well.

At night they don't look any different so people don't drive differently, but during the day most people usually seem to keep their distance.

Yeah there is a member who went full LED tails. If thats what you meant. He cut open the housing and did it all himself. Looked pretty good!

if u have ppl tailgating just start swerving the car left to right while never crossing the line. Ppl always back off from that.

I just let off the gas if I think someone is following to closely. Especially if Im in the right lane, that just pissed me off.

someone brake checked me once cause i was following closely. I was gradually slowing down, no foot on the gas and just didnt want to hit the brakes. Once i knew what he did, I was pretty pissed off.
