Underdrive crank pulley on Ebay?

What do you guys think about this pulley? Too good to be true for the price?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-02...QQcmdZViewItem

What could the harm if the pulley is installed? And if the pulley is good, are there any cons to underdriving the crank?

There's no real cons to installing the under drive pulley other than you'll be spinning your accessories slower too (alternator and power steering). Although it isn't significant.

the most important aspect of a pulley is its' balance. on the crank pulley, u want to make sure u trust the company, cuz an unbalance pulley = no no

It should be a bit bigger in order to pull slower, and yes, the whole point of an underdrive is to pull slower, thus freeing the HP.

The pulley is slightly larger. Gains are achieved through weight loss on the drivetrain and through not spinning the accessories as fast. If you aren't spinning the accessories as fast it isn't using as much power to spin the accessories and thus more power makes it to the ground.

Most of the gains are through weight loss though.

UR's pulley are CNC 0 gram balanced, which is better than the stock pulleys they replace. I highly doubt that those other brands do the same. The peace of mind is worth the $100.

Then it's not an under drive pulley. If it spins faster then the accessories spin faster and thus rob more power at a lower rpm. In other words not only will you spin your accessories faster than they were designed to be spun (which will cause premature end to their life) you'll also lose power.

i've seen nothing but gaine from the crank pulley, only thing I could see loosing is torque since the new pulley is much-much-much lighter...
