I called the other local tweeter and they said earkiest they can do it is thursday. This drama just goes on and on. Coulda spent all this money on performance mods...I guess i'll learn for next time. Im definately turned off from car audio from now on.

you should know better than going to a department type store like Tweeter to get any kind of decent work done. they are basically there to cater to those who are not really into car audio but have been convinced to upgrade (or received new h/u's etc as gifts). this is also where most 'kids' get their start, so don't be surprised if the finished quality isn't up to par.

I used to be in that business, when it was fun.(1980-1990)
First thing is that it is the Holiday season. Most all aftermarket car install places are backed up until the middle of january, mostly installing Christmas gifts. If you are in the northern states, it is even worse because of remote starter installs.
The second thing is that most people are off this week. ---Getting things done.
Finally, if someone comes in and want s to buy a quick indash and changer or a quick subwoffer install for 500.00 - 2000.00,
GUESS WHAT, your car is sitting. The smart business will take the money and let some of the prepaid smaller dollar things sit. You need to keep $$$ coming in the door.
Relax, they have a good reputation and are just trying to keep in business.

up where i am at, i have been to 2 installers that are awesome and they will work on your car when your appointment comes, high dollar or not and they will have it done in a resonable time. Example: rear speakers would be done a a couple hours max. They rather reschedule than piss you off by keeping your car all damn day. Thats much better business. Because the guys that come in for a ceahp speaker install may get the a/v fever and come back to the shop that gave them good and quick service for that 500-2,000 dollar install.
