Uggh... door ding!

This a**hole in a Lexus SUV (older LX470 or LX450.. whatever), license plate CA 3XBC735 parked next to me last Friday night. I returned to my car and it had a ding from his driver-side rear door. I waited for 45 minutes for the moron and paged the license plate at the restaurant we were at. Then I left a note... obviously the moron didn't call me back.

I bought that "Ding King"... and it doesn't work... what's a good way of getting it out? I have been so careful for the past 7 months since I have owned the car... and now this happens. It's funny... I am more upset about this than if I had blown my motor!

I just dropped my car off for the ClearBra and noticed on my pasanger side just behind the door a 3/4 inch set of scratches and a chip where it look like someone dropped their keys against my car. The scratches and chip are deep enough that they won't be able to buff it out it will have to go the auto body to get fixed. This really pisses me off, my car is less than a month old and this SH*T happens.

You have the guy's info...tell the cops your story, get his information, and go through his insurance to get it fixed.

The thing is that I waited for 45 minutes... but left before they showed up. They can deny I left a note... deny the whole thing!

My wife is a witness... and probably the restaurant folks cuz I kept barging in there... but there's no credibility here unfortunately. I will find out where they live and pay them a visit

I'd still try to nail his insurance company... go to the cops. I had a guy ram my car with a shopping cart (while I watched from a short distance) and he was prepared to drive away when I ran and stopped him. Fucker was a preacher no less! HIS INSURANCE PAID... give it a shot.

Are you 100% sure that it was him? If you are 100% sure, call the cops and ask what they think you should do. That is what people have insurance for. He @#$%ed with your car and he should pay. It is totally worth a try if you ask me.

I totally understand this statement!!!

People like that need to be fvcking killed. When I had my TLP, some dumb b!tch in an '87 caddy whacked my door, WHILE MY WIFE WAS SITTING IN IT!!! Of course since she had an old POS, she could not comprehend why I was upset. I hate these people. You simply cannot have anything nice without other inconsiderate a$$wipes sh!tting all over it.

It was funny that when I get rid of it for the CLS6, my main happy point was getting rid of that ding...

The good news it that most 'ding-guys' should be able to get it out, no problem. Is it above or below the door handle???

Not bad at all.... I've seen this done and it is truly amazing... You will not be dissapointed.

You sure it wasn't a flying rock hit while counter steering out of a turn with tires lit up under turbo-spool???

Oh yeah, you got rid of it. What's next???

I hope your upset would fade away gradually, it's just not worth it to get angry because a car gets some dings. Nothing is perfect forever anyways.
